Né à Nantes le 27 septembre 1968.

Après avoir étudié sept ans le piano et les percussions au Conservatoire, il décide de se tourner vers la musique électronique.
Aux côtés de laurent Garnier, il commence en tant que DJ au Boy, le premier club parisien à faire découvrir aux Français le phénomène techno. Il se lance alors avec succès dans l'écriture et la production musicale au sein de la radio Maxximum, première radio nationale 100% dance (groupe CLT).

Pionnier du numérique, il crée avec Jean-Charles Carré, son studio d'enregistrement dans le centre de Paris ce qui lui permet de remixer, composer ou produire des artistes tels que David Guetta, Jean-Michel Jarre, Paul Johnson, Deep Dish, David Bowie, OMD, Kylie Minogue, Mylène Farmer, Cassius, Ceronne, Moby, Robbie Rivera... et bien d'autres encore.
Joachim développe un nouveau concept mélant Deejaying et improvisation musicale, un véritable concert, une performance live unique qui lui donne rapidement l'occasion de se produire aux quatre coins du Monde.
Il regroupe autour de lui une véritable communauté dont le signe de ralliement est un Space Invader.

Début 2011, Joachim fait la une de DJMAG au Mexique, la revue spécialisée dans les musiques électroniques et DJs.Il signe un partenariat avec Serato dans le cadre de ses Live improvisés grâce à la technologie Scratch Live & Video SL.
''We are the future'', le premier clip issu du nouvel abum de Joachim Garraud ''Invasion 2011'' est tourné durant deux soirées (à Dijon et à Paris) au cours desquelles les Space Invaders avaient été invités à venir avec des panneaux représentant les phrases du refrain.
Le 18 mars, débute le marathon Invasion 2011 avec la soirée officielle de lancement de l'album "Invasion 2011" au Queen à Paris, puis à Marseille.
Le 21 mars a eu lieu la sortie officielle du nouvel album de Joachim sur toute les plateformes de vente. Ce dernier contient 15 titres dont les singles "We are the future" et "Stop".
Joachim Garraud produit Perry Farrell, icône aux Etats-Unis. Musicien, chanteur, acteur et réalisateur, il est le fondateur de groupes de rock alternatif comme Jane's Addiction et Porno For Pyros. Il est aussi le créateur du festival Lollapalooza.

En Mai 2011, comme chaque année, le festival Inox s'est tenu à Toulouse et a drainé des milliers de clubbers venus de toute la France.

Born in Nantes on September 27th, 1968

After having perfectionned his piano and percussions for seven years at the conservatory, he decided to move toward electronic music.
long with Laurent Garnier, he started as a DJ as the Boy, the Parisian club that first initiated the discovery of the techno phenomenon in France. He then successfully tried some music production with Maxximum radio station, number one national 100% dance radio station (CTL group).

March 18, the Invasion 2011 marathon begins with the official party premiere of the album "Invasion 2011" at Queen in Paris, and then Marseille.
